David May, DO

Dr. David May is originally from the Appalachian hills of Southwestern Virginia. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech. During this time, he studied in France and Ecuador, attaining fluency in French and Spanish respectively.

Dr. May went on to receive his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He then completed his General Surgery training at Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania. He continued on at Geisinger to complete his specialty training in Minimally Invasive Bariatric and Foregut Surgery.

He is board certified in General Surgery, and his Bariatric fellowship training is certified by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

Dr. May is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
